About Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sargodha
Sargodha Board was established in 1968 after the split from BISE Lahore, the only Punjab board at the time. The board’s jurisdiction now covers the western districts of Punjab. Every year thousands of regular and private candidates sit SSC Part 1, SSC Part 2, HSSC Part 1 and HSSC Part 2 papers under its supervision. Public and private schools and colleges across Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar are affiliated with the board.
The board’s job is straightforward: print date sheets, dispatch roll number slips, run the exam centres, mark the papers, and declare results on the published date. New academic sessions begin in April for SSC and September for HSSC. Practical exams follow the written papers for science students. The board also handles certificate issuance, document verification, and the rechecking process.

Download the Result Gazette PDF
The board publishes a complete gazette in PDF form right after the announcement. The gazette lists every candidate’s marks by roll number and is what schools and colleges download for their record. Find the gazette link in the Results section of bisesargodha.edu.pk. Open the PDF and use Ctrl+F to search your roll number or name.
Class-Wise Results
The four classes the board examines are distinct in syllabus, marking, and result calendar.
• 9th Class (SSC Part-I): Annual exams in March and April. The 9th class result counts toward the final matric aggregate. Practicals are conducted for science subjects.
• 10th Class (SSC Part-II / Matric): The matric result is the most-checked of the four. It decides college admission and FSc/FA stream eligibility.
• 11th Class (HSSC Part-I / Inter Part-I): Exams in May and June. The 11th class result counts toward the intermediate aggregate.
• 12th Class (HSSC Part-II / Inter Part-II): Final intermediate result. Universities use this for merit lists. Programs covered: FA, FSc Pre-Medical, FSc Pre-Engineering, ICS, ICom.

Grading System & Marks Distribution
Grading at BISE Sargodha follows the standard Punjab board scale. The minimum pass mark is 33% in each subject and overall.
Grade
Marks (%)
Description

Distinction
A 70 to 79
Excellent
B 60 to 69
Very good
C 50 to 59
Good
D 40 to 49

E 33 to 39

Candidates scoring below 33% in any subject must clear that subject in the supplementary exam to receive the certificate. Merit certificates and distinction prizes go to position holders at the board, district, and group level.
Rechecking & Recount Process
If the marks on the result feel wrong, the rechecking process is the formal route. Submit the rechecking application within 15 to 30 days of result announcement. The form is available at the board office and on the official website.
Fee schedule and the steps in short:
1. Download the rechecking form from bisesargodha.edu.pk.
2. Pay the prescribed fee at a designated bank branch.
3. Submit the form with the original result card copy and the bank challan.
4. The board re-counts marks (not re-checks the paper). Revised marks, if any, are communicated by post or on the portal.
Rechecking is a count verification. A full paper re-evaluation is not part of this process at most Punjab boards. Students who failed in one or two subjects can also apply for the supplementary exam, held 2 to 3 months after the annual.
