Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Gujranwala was established in 1976 and operates under the Punjab Department of Education. The board runs annual and supplementary exams for SSC and HSSC, issues roll number slips, publishes date sheets, and declares results across six districts: Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Narowal.

The card shows your name, father's name, registration number, subject marks, percentage and grade. Network traffic on result day is heavy. If the portal is slow between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, switch to SMS or wait an hour.

The board provides four official checking methods. Roll number is fastest; gazette is the most complete.

By Roll Number

The default route. Enter the roll number from your slip on bisegrw.edu.pk and the system returns a full mark sheet. Works for every class and both exam types.

By Name

A few third-party portals filter the gazette by name. Use your full name and your father's name, and confirm the school code matches. Useful when the roll slip is lost.

By SMS to 800299

Type your roll number into a fresh SMS and send it to 800299. The reply contains your name, marks and status. Standard SMS rates apply, and no internet is needed.

By Gazette PDF

After the announcement, the board posts a complete gazette PDF on bisegrw.edu.pk. It lists every student by school code and roll number, and helps when the web result is delayed by system load.

Grading System and Passing Marks

BISE Gujranwala uses the standard Punjab board grading scale. Pass marks are 33% per subject and 33% overall. Below that in any subject means a supplementary paper in the failed subject.

Total marks for the 9th, 10th and 12th class are 550 each. Position prizes go to the top three scorers per group, with cash awards and merit certificates issued by the board.

Rechecking and Recount Process

If your marks look wrong, apply for rechecking within 15 days of the result announcement. The fee is set yearly and paid through a bank challan.

•       Enter your roll number and the subjects to recheck

•       Generate the fee challan and pay at the designated bank

•       Submit the stamped challan with the form at the board office

Rechecking covers totalling and transfer errors, not re-evaluation of answers. Outcomes arrive within four to six weeks, and a revised mark sheet is issued if any discrepancy is found.

Supplementary Exams 2026

Students who fail in one or two subjects qualify for supplementary exams, held two to three months after the annual result. The Matric supplementary runs in October or November 2026, and the Inter supplementary follows in November or December 2026.

Collect the supplementary admission form from your institution or download it from bisegrw.edu.pk. Submit the form, fee challan and original mark sheet before the deadline. Supplementary results are released within eight to ten weeks of the final paper. A pass clears the failed subject and you receive a combined mark sheet.
